A good time was had by all
Editor of the Reformer:
I wrote this as a thank you note to Orly Munzig, the founder of the Strolling of the Heifers, and I wanted to share it.
I just wanted to write and say what a very cool and very impressive event the Strolling of the Heifers weekend is. My wife Laurie and I just moved to Guilford as permanent residents and this was our first Strolling weekend and we enjoyed every minute of it. We loved the parade, loved the gallery walk and the farm tours are fantastic. We went to the Bunker Farm and the Scott Farm and it was a lot of fun to make those trips. We learned a lot and really appreciate the time those who run the farms shared with us — because I know they have to be incredibly busy.
So, I just wanted to write and say great job — an event like this, over multiple days with that many people takes a lot of work and a lot of time and everyone involved just does a fantastic job. We have always been big into farming and agriculture, (my wife grew up working on her grandparents' dairy farm in Greenfield, Mass.) so the message behind the entire event really strikes an important chord.
We had a great time, looking forward to next year.
