A lot of confused thinking going on
Editor of the Reformer:
The inequities of our times have exceeded the abilities of the average person to comprehend and maintain perspective. I see all kinds of emails that focus hate on Pres. Obama and now Hillary Clinton. Though I am no fan of Hillary's, I do, in general maintain respect for Obama. I asked a well-informed ex-patriate global player what he thought of America at this point, he replied that "America is an unmanageable entity at this point."
I never encountered such public hatred for the last Republican president's actions. Compare them to Hillary's email scandal and the resistance to Obama trying to steer us into health insurance like much of the western world has.
In our time, with us as voting adults, we entered a nation under false pretenses, massacred them and left them destroyed with radioactive waste everywhere. Have we ever seen the word "massacred" applied to the war in Iraq? Merriam-Webster defines it as "the unnecessary, indiscriminate killing of a large number of human beings or animals, as in barbarous warfare or persecution or for revenge or plunder.
The most conservative count of deaths reported in newspapers collated by projects like the Iraq Body Count project found 174,000 Iraqis reported killed between 2003 and 2013, with between 112,000 to 123,000 of those killed being civilian noncombatants.
For troops in the U.S.-led multinational coalition, the death toll is carefully tracked and updated daily, and the names and photographs of those killed in action as well as in accidents have been published widely. A total of 4,491 U.S. service members were killed in Iraq between 2003 and 2014.
That's one American for every 39 Iraqis. What do you call it? George Bush was our General Custer.
If I lived in that region, I would be the first one joining ISIS. You can't do something like this without a karmic back-splash.
According to Reuters, the war cost over $2,000,000,000,000. Plus, what about the PTSD factors all around? The destabilization of the Middle East?
People are going nuts over Obamacare and Hillary's emails?
I think that there is a lot of confused thinking going on.
