BRATTLEBORO -- The Brattleboro Sunrise Rotary Club honored its departing group of Student Rotarians at the club’s June 6 meeting at the Brattleboro Country Club’s Fairway Tavern.
Brattleboro Union High School seniors, Spencer Haynes, Kara Walsh, and Kyle Sewing; Hinsdale, N.H., High School senior Kelsey Bean; and BUHS juniors, Kellie Schiller and Tilden Remerleitch, were presented with certificates of achievement and club mementos in recognition of their participation in the club’s Student Rotarian Program this past school year.
As part of Rotary’s commitment to vocational service, membership in the Brattleboro Sunrise Rotary Club’s Student Rotarian Program is offered to area high school juniors and seniors. Through the Student Rotarian Program, the club hopes to foster dedication to the community and high moral standards in vocational activities.
The club’s primary goal is to establish healthy relationships with students, their school, administrators, and teachers and to provide the opportunity to experience what it means to be a Rotarian.
Anyone interested in learning more about how to join the club should contact Jeff Blais at 802-251-9900.
