PARRIS ISLAND, S.C. -- Marine Corps Pfc. Joseph W. Dutton, son of Wendy L. and Paul C. Dutton of Brookline, Vt., earned the title of U.S. Marine after graduating from recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot at Parris Island.

Dutton is a 2011 graduate of Leland & Gray Union High School of Townshend, Vt.
