MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Stefanie Jan Hayes of Long Beach, Calif., formerly of Marlboro, Vt., was married to Chandler Vanderrick Johnson of Memphis on Oct. 20, 2012.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. John W. Hayes Jr. of Forest Grove, Ore., and Joanne M. Hayes of Brattleboro, Vt. The wedding party consisted of nine bridesmaids and one junior bridesmaid, who was the bride’s sister, Siobhan Hayes of Forest Grove. There were nine groomsmen, one of whom was the bride’s brother, Andrew Hayes of Studio City, Calif. There were two flower girls, and the ring bearer was the bride’s brother, Jack Hayes of Forest Grove.
The bride graduated from Brattleboro Union High School in 1989. She received her bachelor of arts degree in Biology from Earlham College in 1993, and her master’s degree in Environmental Management from Yale University in 1995. For the past eight years she has been an Independent Agent with LegalShield.
The bridegroom is the son of Chandler Johnson and Rebecca Johnson, both of Memphis, the bridegroom’s hometown. He graduated from Craigmont High School in Memphis in 1993, and received his bachelor of science degree in Consumer Economics from the University of Georgia in 1998, while on a full football scholarship.
For the past eight years he has been a Real Estate Development Manager with AutoZone. The couple met through mutual friends in their church, the International Churches of Christ. They were married at the Marriott Memphis and honeymooned in Fort Lauderdale and Miami, Fla.
The newlyweds currently reside in Memphis.
