Brattleboro

-- Mark Lanoue, 49, of Spofford, N.H., was arrested March 3 for negligent operation of a motor vehicle after police investigated an accident involving a pedestrian. The accident occurred in a Putney Road parking lot at a very low speed with no serious injuries. Lanoue was cited to appear in Vermont Superior Court: Windham Criminal Division on April 17 to answer the charge.

-- Gregory Herold, 30, of Dover, was taken into custody March 3 for disorderly conduct after police responded to Putney Road for reports of a male walking in the middle of the road. Upon arrival, police found he was very intoxicated and took him to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital. While receiving medical attention, Herold became unruly and refused care so police took him to the station and held him until sober.

-- Debra A. Soubble, 51, of Brattleboro, was cited March 7 for operating a vehicle with a suspended license after police stopped her on Putney Road. She was cited to appear in court on April 17 to answer the charge.

-- Brattleboro police responded to Main Street to find the sign at Renaissance Fine Jewelry had been pulled down and damaged sometime between 7 p.m. on March 8 to 6 a.m. on March 9. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the police at 802-257-7950.

-- Matthew D. Cote, 29, of Feeding Hills, Mass., was arrested March 9 for possession of marijuana after state police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Interstate-91. Subsequently, police observed a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle and Cote admitted to smoking while driving. A later search found approximately 41 grams of marijuana inside the vehicle. He was cited to appear in court on May 1 to answer the charge.

-- Cheryl A. Parent, 48, of Brattleboro, was taken into custody March 11 for driving under the influence after police received numerous complaints of a vehicle traveling with flat tires on Putney Road. Upon arrival, police conducted sobriety tests, which Parent failed, and transported her to the police station.

-- Daniel J. Borden, 50, of Springfield, was arrested March 11 for driving under the influence after police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Putney Road. Borden was cited to appear in court on March 27 to answer the charge.

-- Kayla R. DeJordy, 19, of Brattleboro, was taken into custody March 13 on an active warrant after police located her in front of the Brooks Memorial Library. She was taken into custody without incident.

-- Candida R. Sergi, 33, of Brattleboro, was arrested March 10 for leaving the scene of an accident, driving with a suspended license and on an active warrant following an incident on Belmont Avenue. Sergi was cited to appear in court on April 3 to answer the charges.

Bellows Falls

-- Kimberley Weiderman, 44, of Bellows Falls, was cited March 12 for domestic assault after police responded to a family disturbance on Griswold Drive. She was cited to appear in court to answer the charge.

Dummerston

-- Vermont State Police responded March 12 to a two-vehicle accident on Johnson Curve Road to find Jocelyn Pond, 22, of Putney, had struck the left rear bumper of a 1991 GMC delivery truck that was pulled to the side of the road because it was overheated. Pond was issued a written warning for following too close. There were no injuries and both vehicles were driven from the scene by their respective operators.

Newfane

-- Vermont State Police responded March 8 to a single-vehicle accident on Eddy Road to find Paul Pruzansky, 56, of Newfane, had passed another vehicle and drove off the west edge of the road after a short distance. Tire imprints in the mud leading down the embankment indicate he did not brake or attempt to take evasive action.

Rockingham

-- Alexey Smirnov, 33, of New York, N.Y., was arrested March 11 for driving under the influence after police stopped his vehicle for a violation. He was cited to appear in court on March 27 to answer the charge.
