-- Police are searching for a Putney man who allegedly assaulted a teen.
At about 8 p.m., on July 27, members of the Vermont State Police began investigating an alleged assault along Bellows Falls Road in Putney.
According to Trooper Nader Hashim, a 16-year-old Putney boy was walking along the road when an unidentified vehicle pulled into a driveway near him.
The victim said 22-year-old Bryan B. Wainwright, also of Putney, got out of the vehicle and the two of them began to argue. Wainwright then struck the teen in the face causing minor injuries to his lip and head and fled the scene.
The victim was taken to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital to be treated for his injuries and was later released.
VSP are asking anyone with information about this incident or the whereabouts of Wainwright to contact the barracks immediately at 802-254-2382.
-- Samuel A. Martin, 25, of Bellows Falls, was arrested on July 25, after members of the Vermont State Police conducted a motor vehicle stop along I-91 and found that Martin, who was a passenger in the car, had a warrant out for his arrest.
Martin was held on $500 bail and later released after posting the money. He cited to appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on July 31, to answer the charge.
