Walpole building could become art gallery

Planning Board meeting set for Tuesday

WALPOLE, N.H. -- The owner of a building currently used for storage is seriously interested converting the space into an art gallery/artist studio.

Regina Borden, secretary of the Walpole Planning Board, said preliminary plans can be viewed at town hall. She said those plans will be discussed at a planning board meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 14.

The property, Borden said, is located on Route 12, down the hill from The Walpole Inn.

The concept of turning the building into an art gallery has been discussed in the past but never materialized under the previous owner.
