On Sept. 15 the Southern Vermont Natural History Museum will bring the Third Annual Vermont Wildlife Festival to Hogback Mountain at the old Skyline Restaurant.
Festivities kick off with a 9 a.m. guided walk with Professor Emeritus and local naturalist Robert Engel that will explore the south trails of the Hogback Mountain Conservation Area. Beginning at 10 a.m., the festival opens for a day of engaging presentations and live animals. Featured presentations include live birds of prey, a forest health scavenger hunt, wildlife presentations, forest activities and a visit from a live arctic wolf. Kid’s activities and informal presentations will continue throughout the day.
Visit www.vermontmuseum.org or call 802-464-0048 for more information. Admission is free although donations are appreciated.
The museum wishes to thank Orvis outfitters and the Hogback Mountain Preservation Commission for their support.
