BRATTLEBORO -- Kristin Szremski will be at Marlboro College Graduate Center at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 9, to discuss the plight of Palestinians under the occupation. She is the director of media and communications for the American Muslims for Palestine non-profit organization and tries to bring awareness of what Palestinians are facing today, problems seldom described in today's media.

She is an award-winning journalist who has spent more than 20 years as an investigative reporter and editor. Currently, her work appears on Al Jazeera English television, the Electronic Intifada, The Washington Report on Middle East Affairs and the Islamic Horizon magazine publication. Szremski is a member of several trade organizations, including the National Press Club and the Society of Professional Journalists.

On Sept. 10, Szremski will be giving another presentation at 7 p.m. at the public library in Keene, N.H., which is located at 60 Winter St.

The event, which is sponsored by the NH-VT Palestinian Education Network, is free, though donations are welcome.
