WESTMINSTER -- Police are investigating an early morning break-in at Allen Brothers Farm.
Vermont State Police Trooper Bryson Lunderville told the Reformer that at least two people were involved in the Sept. 7 burglary at the Route 5 store in Westminster.
According to video surveillance, at about 1:30 a.m., a man got out of a light-colored Hummer H3 and forced his way into the convenience store while another person waited inside the vehicle to serve as a lookout.
"He was in the building for about a half hour and obviously didn’t worry about time," Lunderville said.
Footage from the incident has been sent to the state crime lab to try and decipher any identifying features of the man and the vehicle he left in, the trooper said.
During the heist, the man left with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.
A full inventory of the store is pending to see if anything else was stolen, Lunderville said.
No other information about the burglary was given as the investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact VSP Trooper Lunderville at 802-875-2112.
