Brattleboro

-- Frank Fawcett, 26, of Putney, was arrested on Aug. 23, for disorderly conduct after he allegedly used "abusive and obscene language" while in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division, in Brattleboro. He was later released and cited to appear back in the same court at a later date.

-- A 27-year-old Brattleboro man was arrested for violating his conditions of release.

Brandon P. Lee was taken into custody on Aug. 25, and cited to appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on Oct. 9, to answer the charge.

Dover

-- During a sobriety checkpoint along Route 100 on Aug. 31, members of the Windham County Sheriff's Department, Dover Police and Vermont State Police stopped 179 vehicles.

Of those vehicles, nine drivers were screened for DUI and all were found to be under the legal limit.

Grafton

-- The Vermont State Police are searching for those responsible in a recent larceny and vandalism case.

According to Trooper Jake Bloom, on Aug. 31, they received a call reporting that someone had cut the main gate lock to Tetreault Estate in Grafton and once inside, stole two game cameras.

The victim stated the theft must have occurred some time between Aug. 25 and Aug. 31.

Londonderry

-- A 28-year-old Westminster woman was arrested for domestic assault outside of the Dancing Bear Bar and Grill on Sept. 2, after police said she assaulted someone.

Michelle Ucci was taken into custody and later cited to appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division to answer the charge.

Rockingham

-- On Sept. 3, members of the Vermont State Police responded to the scene of a single motor vehicle accident along Saxtons River Road.

According to Trooper Nicholas Arlington, shortly before 2 p.m., Benjamin Worth, 28, of Bellows Falls, was driving his 2006 Honda motorcycle too fast and was unable to navigate a sharp turn in the road. His motorcycle left the road and crashed into a tree.

Worth was thrown into the road. His leg was broken as a result of the crash and he was transported to Springfield Hospital.

Arlington stated that Worth was cited to appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division at a later date because Worth didn't have insurance, a valid driver's license or a motorcycle endorsement.

Westminster

-- A Putney man was arrested for unlawful trespass last month.

According to Vermont State Police Trooper Matthew Steeves, troopers responded to a home in Westminster on Aug. 9, where 27-year-old Justin Doubleday was found to have been trespassing.

Doubleday was cited to appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on Sept. 25, to answer the charge.

-- Members of the Windham County Sheriff's Department are investigating a home burglary that was reported on Aug. 23.

According to the resident several items, including an Adidas backpack and a firearm were stolen from the home.

-- The Windham County Sheriff's Department is investigating a possible scam involving subscriptions to LifeLine.

Investigation began after a Westminster resident said they received an unsolicited call attempting to sell them a subscription to rescue service.

The caller reported that they would only accept bank transfer information as a form of payment.

-- Between Aug. 31 and Sept. 2, members of the Vermont State Police, Springfield Police, Norwich Police and Windsor County Sheriff's Department conducted DUI checkpoints along Route 5.

The check points operated for three hours and approximately 120 vehicles were stopped but no arrest were made.

Wilmington

-- A Whitingham teen was cited for disorderly conduct and negligent operation of a vehicle after he intentionally drove his vehicle into another car.

Nicholas J. Dix, 18, allegedly crashed into the other vehicle on Aug. 12. He was cited to appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on Sept. 10, to answer the charge.
