GUILFORD -- Steel equipment from the Guilford Town Highway Lot has been stolen, and the incident is currently being investigated.

From Oct. 15 through Oct. 17, approximately $1,200 worth of steel was lifted from the area. This steel was various pieces that are used for building guard rails for highway systems in Vermont, said Windham County Sheriff's Department on Friday.

The police have gotten several calls regarding the stolen property, but no arrests have been made. The incident is under investigation by the Sheriff's department.
