HINSDALE, N.H. -- Melissa Fisk and Jim O'Malley will compete over the school board seat Edward Patenaude Jr. is vacating.
O'Malley did not return a phone call seeking comment before presstime but Fisk has produced fliers encouraging Fisk to vote for her and e-mailed one to the Reformer.
Fisk says she is a lifelong resident of Hinsdale and has five children in its school system.
She states she knows the importance of education and home-schooled her children for nine years. She said a few of her children are honor-roll students and one is in the National Honor Society.
Fisk says parental input should be a priority of the school administration and its faculty.
"Parents know their children best and want the best for them," she said.
Fisk believes quality communication is important between parents and children and it is a parental responsibility to determine wants versus needs.
