The Vermont State Police received a complaint about a vehicle on Paul’s Road that was "all over the road." Troopers responded and located the vehicle in the parking lot of Commonwealth Dairy. He was ordered to appear in court at a later date.
-- On April 24, Brattleboro police responded to Frost Street for the report of a dispute. Following an investigation, Patrick J. Cusson, 23, of Brattleboro, was cited with two counts of domestic assault. He was ordered to appear in court at a later date.
-- On April 24, Brattleboro police responded to Williams Street for the report of an assault. Following an investigation, Reed Fisher Jr., no age or place of residence given, was cited for disorderly conduct and ordered to appear in court at a later date.
-- On April 24, Brattleboro police responded to the area of Washington Street for the report of a dispute. Following an investigation, Christopher J. Lanese, 35, of Brattleboro, was cited for domestic assault and ordered to appear in court at a later date.
-- On April 24, Brattleboro police responded to a home on Green Street to investigate a 911 hangup.
-- On April 24, Brattleboro police arrested Robert Brennan, 33, of Brattleboro, and cited him for possession of stolen property. He was ordered to appear in court at a later date.
-- On April 15, Vermont State Police stopped Timothy M. Flaherty, 30, of Dover, for speeding on Route 9. Investigation subsequently revealed that Flaherty was under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and brought to the barracks for processing. He was issued a citation to appear in Windham District Court at a later date.
-- Benjamin E. Kaufmann, 31, of Chatham, N.Y., was cited for driving under the influence of drugs at 10 p.m. on Sunday, April 21. He was held at the Southern State Correctional Facility in Springfield on lack of bail.
-- A Williston man was cited to appear in court for driving with a suspended license, state police said.
Thomas P. Fitzgerald, 51, was stopped April 26 on Route 103 in Rockingham for a motor-vehicle violation. A records check showed that Fitzgerald’s license is suspended due to a 2007 DUI conviction, police said.
-- The Vermont State Police responded to a home on Mill Street on April 22 to the report of a family fight. As a result, two people were arrested and cited for domestic assault. Neither of the people were identified by police.
-- Vermont State Police responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 91 North in Springfield around noon on Tuesday, April 16.
Troopers learned Kenneth Fredriksen, 58, of Brattleboro, was operating a 2004 Mercury Mountaineer in the right lane when he approached a 1995 Kenworth tractor-trailer and attempted to pass it on the left.
Fredriksen, according to a press release, struck the left rear bumper of the tractor-trailer causing his Mercury to slide off the right side of the highway onto an embankment.
There were no injuries but the Mercury had to be towed away from the scene. Fredriksen was issued a warning for following to closely.
The tractor-trailer sustained a minor dent.
-- On April 25, Brattleboro Police responded to the area of Valley Road for a report of an assault. The investigation led to the arrest of Travis Winter, 20, of Brattleboro, for aggravated assault. He was taken into custody without incident. He was released on conditions and issued a citation to appear in court at a later date.
-- On April 23, the Vermont State Police responded to Fairview Road for the report of a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, troopers arrested Daniel Burdick, 19, of Newfane, who was smoking marijuana with a 14-year-old girl. Following an investigation, police learned that Burdick had been communicating with the girl via social media. Police also discovered Burdick didn’t have a valid driver’s license. He was cited for contributing to the delinquency of a minor and ordered to appear in court on June 4.
