-- On May 1, Vermont State Police received a complaint of a burglary from Brookline Road. The complainant reported that a contractor came to his residence and discovered it had been broken into. A trooper met with the homeowner, who said he was last at the property on April 21. Due to the large number of items taken, the perpetrator had to have spent significant time at the residence, possibly making two trips, according to police. The case remains under investigation.
-- On May 1, the Bellows Falls Police Department responded to the bus stop on Williams Street for a report of a male subject showing an adult female a jar of Vaseline and making lewd comments to her. As a result of this complaint, Christopher Lanese, of Bellows Falls, was subsequently arrested for possession of marijuana. He was processed and released with a citation to appear in court at a later date.
-- On May 2, Bellows Falls Police responded to the area of the Canal House on Rockingham Street for a report of an intoxicated male yelling in the street. Police made contact with the suspect identified as Zachary James, of Bellows Falls. He was placed under arrest and charged with disorderly conduct and possession of marijuana. James was ordered held until sober and issued a citation to appear at a later date. He was transported to the Southern State Correctional Facility.
-- On May 3, Bellows Falls Police responded to Brown Street for a report of disorderly subjects. Justin Packard, of Bellows Falls, was arrested for disorderly conduct. He was released and issued a citation to appear in court at a later date.
-- On April 25, Brattleboro Police responded to 138 Elliot Street for a report of a possible fight involving a large group of people. During the investigation, Salahdin Trowell, 29, of Brattleboro, was charged with disorderly conduct. He was released on citation to appear in court at a later date.
-- On May 1, a juvenile was charged with possession of marijuana. The Windham County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report that a student was in possession of marijuana at the Brattleboro Area Middle School. Following an investigation, the juvenile was cited to appear at the Vermont Superior Court Family Division at a later date.
-- On May 1, Brattleboro Police stopped a vehicle on Sycamore Street and found the passenger, Jonathan Lenois, 21, of Brattleboro, to be violating his 24-hour curfew. He was arrested and brought to the Brattleboro Police Department for processing. Lenois was released on a citation to appear in court at a later date.
-- On May 2, Brattleboro Police received a complaint of a possible intoxicated subject driving into town from Guilford. Police were able to locate the vehicle and after a short investigation, the driver, Heidi Gold, 59, of Guilford, was found to be intoxicated. She was arrested for DUI and transported to the Police Department for processing then released on a citation to appear in court at a later date.

-- On May 1, Mark Zostant, 44, of Brattleboro, was arrested by the Windham County Sheriff’s Department for DUI. His vehicle was stopped on Westminster Road. Investigation revealed Zostant had been driving while under the influence of alcohol. He was cited to appear in the Brattleboro District Court Criminal Division at a later date.
-- On May 3, Vermont State Police stopped a vehicle on Route 103 for a motor vehicle violation. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Joshua Gondek, 20, of Lebanon, Conn., who was found to be in possession of marijuana and cocaine. He was cited for possession of both drugs and was cited to appear in Windham District Court on May 28 at 8 a.m.
