-- On April 14, the Bellows Falls Police Department received a complaint of a retail theft at J&H Hardware in The Square. After an investigation, Richard Rein, 52, of Bellows Falls, was cited for retail theft and ordered to appear in court on May 28.
-- On May 4, Matthew Falzo, of Bellows Falls, was stopped on Burt Street for driving in a very erratic manner on Atkinson Street and Henry Street. After a brief investigation, Falzo was taken into custody for driving under the influence, whereas he was processed and released with a citation to appear in court at a later date.
-- On May 5, Robert Covillion, 39, of Bellows Falls, was arrested on the charges of disorderly conduct and unlawful mischief resulting out of an incident on Hapgood Place. He was ordered held until sober at Southern State Correctional Facility and will appear in Vermont Superior Court Windham County Criminal Division on June 4 to answer to the charges.
-- On May 4, Brattleboro Police took Kimberly A. Saunders, 47, of Brattleboro, into custody without incident for having an active warrant for her arrest, stemming from a probation violation. Saunders was lodged for lack of $500 bail at the Southern State Correctional Facility.
-- On May 5, Brattleboro Police responded to a residence on Orchard Street for a report of a loud party occurring there. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Maechyl Lloyd, 20, of Brattleboro, and determined that he had consumed alcohol as a minor. He was arrested and issued a citation to appear in Windham County Superior Court at a later date.
-- On May 5, Brattleboro Police responded to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital for an unruly subject, who was identified as John E. Pease, 19, of Brattleboro. He was wanted for check fraud and violation of court conditions. He was arrested and cited to appear in court the next day.
-- On May 7, Seth Willey, 35, of Brattleboro, was arrested by the Windham County Sheriff’s Department on a warrant for failure to appear in court for a final jury call. He was taken into custody and later appeared before the Vermont Superior Court Criminal Division as a result.
-- On May 3, Vermont State Police were notified of a trespassing complaint on Marsh Road. Troopers responded to the scene and an investigation determined Barbara Bourne, 55, of Brookline, had been trespassing on her neighbor’s property. She was issued a citation for trespassing and disorderly conduct.
-- On May 7, Jaime Woronecki was arrested for driving on a criminally suspended license. Vermont State Police pulled her over on Route 121. She was cited to appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division at a later date.
-- On May 4, Vermont State Police were conducting a proactive patrol of the Sheldon Hill Road area, due to a number of past burglary reports, when a 1988 Toyota pickup truck with no rear license plate was seen driving on Sawmill Road. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Sheldon Hill Road and the operator identified himself as Mark Holcomb, 26, of Wardsboro. He advised that his license was suspended and the truck was not registered. A check with the DMV computer confirmed both claims. Holcomb was cited to appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on June 11 to face the charge of driving while license suspended and he was issued traffic tickets for an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.
-- On May 4, Vermont State Police responded to a family fight at the Shady Pines Trailer Park. As a result of the trooper’s investigation, Ronda Morris, 35, of Westminster, was taken into custody for domestic assault. She was cited to appear in Windham District Court on May 7 and released on conditions.
-- On May 6, Vermont State Police responded to a report of a vehicle in the median on Interstate 91. Michael Levine, 83, of Lebanon, N.H., had been traveling south in his Lexus SUV, when he fell asleep and drifted onto a grassy median. He was able to stop the vehicle on the median without causing any other crashes. He was not injured and the vehicle sustained minor front bumper damage.
-- On May 6, Joshua Stratton, 27, of Westminster, was charged with violating conditions of release and will appear in Vermont Superior Court Windham Criminal Division on May 7 to answer to this charge.
-- On May 8, Digvijaya Singh, 19, of New York, N.Y., was stopped on Interstate 91 near exit 5, for traveling 104 mph in a 65-mph zone. He was arrested and cited to appear in criminal court to answer to the charge of driving at excessive speed and careless and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
