GUILFORD -- A May stabbing in Guilford spurred a "lengthy investigation" that led to arrests for drug, assault and trespassing allegations, Vermont State Police said Tuesday.
Accused are Danielle Covey, 25, of Wilmington; Bonnie Nasuta, 30, of Brattleboro; and Anna Fletcher, 28, of Guilford.
All are scheduled to be arraigned at a later date in Windham Superior Court Criminal Division, said Brattleboro-based Senior Trooper Kurt Wagenbach.
State Police were summoned at 3:12 p.m. on May 13 to a Bonnyvale Road home for a report of an assault that had resulted in a stab wound.
Wagenbach said Fletcher had suffered a "non-life-threatening puncture wound" on her left leg/thigh.
But others who were involved in the incident had left the scene prior to police arrival.
Investigators later determined that Covey and Nasuta had been involved.
"The incident was centered around prescription narcotic drugs being distributed and possessed between Danielle Covey and Anna Fletcher," Wagenbach wrote in press release.
The incident "evolved into an assault between Anna Fletcher and Bonnie Nasuta," Wagenbach said.
Covey is accused of distributing a stimulant narcotic drug and trespassing, police said.
Nasuta was cited for simple assault. And Fletcher, though she was the victim of the stabbing, also was arrested and cited for possessing a stimulant narcotic drug and simple assault.
