-- On Nov. 6, the Bellows Falls Police Department stopped a motor vehicle for speeding on Atkinson Street. As a result, Joshua M. Macias, 21, was arrested for driving with a criminally suspended license. He was ordered to appear in court on Dec. 17,
-- On Nov. 4, the Brattleboro Police Department took into custody James H. Neveu, 57, of Brattleboro, for failing to appear for a court arraignment. He was also cited for violating the conditions of his release. He was ordered to appear in court on Nov. 12.
-- On Nov. 5, the Brattleboro Police Department began an investigation into a report of a man threatening a cashier in a business on Canal Street. During the investigation, Moses Geyer, 26, of Brattleboro, was identified as a person of interest. He was subsequently issued a citation for disorderly conduct and ordered to appear in court at a later date.
-- On Nov. 6, the Brattleboro Police Department cited Peter Andrew, 43, of Brattleboro, for violations of the conditions of his release.
-- On Nov. 6, the Brattleboro Police Department stopped a vehicle on Canal Street for a minor motor vehicle violation. As a result, Kaitlyn Jones, 20, of Athol, Mass., was arrested for driving under the influence and ordered to appear in court at a later date.
-- On Nov. 4, at approximately 3:30 p.m.
-- On Nov. 5, at approximately 11:50 p.m., the Vermont State Police responded to West Hill Road for the report of a single-vehicle accident. Upon arrival, a Subaru station wagon was found on a retaining wall located on private property. The operator of the Subaru, Nogima Mwaura, 68, of Putney, was found near the vehicle. Subsequently, Mwaura was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and cited to appear in court on Nov. 26.
-- On Nov. 3, at approximately 6:37 p.m., the Vermont State Police stopped a vehicle at Rockingham Road and Webb Terrace for speeding and defective equipment. As a result, Thomas Marquis, 25, of Worcester, Mass., was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. He was ordered to appear in court on Dec. 17.
-- On Nov. 5, at approximately 7 p.m., the Vermont State Police conducted a traffic stop of a speeding motorist on Interstate 91 near mile marker 36. While speaking to the occupants, it was discovered that the passenger, Devin Pratt, 24, of Springfield, had an active arrest warrant in the state of Vermont. Pratt was also found to be in possession of marijuana.
After the operator of the vehicle, Juliane Tamasi Bowers, 34, of Springfield, granted search consent, troopers discovered six glassine bags of heroin in the glove box, as well as 94 glassine bags of heroin in the hidden compartment of a can, located in the pouch on the backside of the passenger seat.
Both Bowers and Pratt were arrested for possession of heroin and transported to the Rockingham State Police Barracks for processing. While at the barracks, a search of Pratt’s person revealed he was also in possession of hallucinogenic drugs as well as a controlled substance that he attempted to hid in his groin.
Pratt was issued a citation to appear in court for the possession of heroin, possession of a hallucinogenic drug, and possession of a controlled substance.
Tamasi Bowers was issued a citation to appear in court for possession of heroin.
They were both ordered to appear in court on Nov. 6
-- On Nov. 6, at approximately 12:45 p.m., the Vermont State Police responded to Interstate 91 southbound for the report of a single-vehicle accident. Upon arrival, troopers learned that William Wilder II, 44, of Drewsville, N.H., went off the westbound side of the road and collided with a set of trees. Troopers also determined that Wilder was operating the vehicle under the influence. He was arrested and ordered to appear in court on Nov. 26.
