Brattleboro

-- On Dec. 27, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to Elm Street for the report of a disorderly person. As a result, Albert J. Lambert, 49, of Brattleboro, was arrested for violating the conditions of his release and disorderly conduct. He was ordered to appear in court at a later date.

-- On Dec. 28, the Brattleboro Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on Putney Road. Following an investigation, Joshua A. Bristol, 23, of Dummerston, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. He was ordered to appear in court at a later date.

-- On Dec. 28, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence on Canal Street for the report of a disturbance and possible shots fired. An investigation did not confirm that shots had been fired, but as a result, Melanie M. Demary, 37, of Brattleboro was arrested and cited for simple assault and disorderly conduct. She was ordered to appear in court at a later date.

-- On Dec. 30, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence on Canal Street for the report of a disturbance. As a result, Dhruva Patel, 34, of Brattleboro, was arrested and cited for domestic assault. He was ordered to appear in court at a later date.

Guilford

-- On Nov. 13, the Vermont State Police, Brattleboro Barracks, responded to a complaint of a burglary on Autumn Hill Drive. The victim informed State Police that three hand guns, two long rifles and a crossbow had been stolen from his home.

Investigation later revealed that Terry "TJ" Russ Jr., 31, of Brattleboro, Richard Tripaldi, 34, of Brattleboro, and Fanta Saradeth, 39, of Greenfield, Mass., had entered the home with the intent to steal firearms. State Police are still investigating the location of the firearms. Russ and Tripaldi are scheduled to appear in court to answer to the charge of burglary on Dec. 31. An arrest warrant has been issued for Saradeth. Londonderry

-- On Dec. 29, at approximately 5:40 p.m., the Vermont State Police responded to Route 11 near Lowell Lake Road for the report of single-vehicle accident. Troopers determined Steven Souhrada, 45, of Brightwaters, N.Y., was traveling west on Route 11 when he had to stop for other traffic. As his vehicle came to a stop, it slid sideways off the edge of the road in into a ditch. The vehicle rolled onto its side. None of the occupants were injured and there was no apparent damage to the vehicle.

-- On Dec. 29, at approximately 6 p.m., the Vermont State Police responded to Route 11 and Route 121 for the report of a single-vehicle accident. Troopers determined John Hodkoski, 47, of Manchester, was traveling west on Route 11 when he attempted to pass another vehicle. Hodkoski went off the road after taking evasive action to avoid an oncoming ambulance. Hodkoski was issued a ticket for an unsafe pass.

Rockingham

-- On Dec. 28, at approximately 1 a.m., the Vermont State Police conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 91 near mile marker 34 northbound. Investigation revealed that the occupants, Torin Ruggeri, 21, Kenneth Dulong, 20, and Misty Belanger, 21, all of Claremont, N.H., and Ariel Pagan, 25, of Hartford, Conn., were traveling from Hartford to Claremont. While conducting a consent search of the vehicle, troopers located 200 glassine bags containing heroin in the vehicle; in addition, empty glassine bags were found on Ruggeri. The approximate weight of the heroin in the 200 glassine bags was six grams. The four occupants were arrested and transported to the Rockingham State Police Barracks for processing. All occupants were cited for trafficking heroin. Pagan was cited for giving false information to law enforcement for providing a false name. Ruggeri was also cited with a separate possession of heroin charge for the 23 empty glassine bags that contained heroin residue that were located in his sock. All four occupants were lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility for lack of $25,000 bail.

-- On Dec. 29, Troopers from the Rockingam Barracks of the Vermont State Police responded to calls for service generated as a result of a snowstorm. Troopers responded to more than two dozen motor vehicles that had slid off of the road. The bulk of the incidents occurred on Interstate 91 between Rockingham and Weathersfield with a few occurring in other portions of the patrol area such as Londonderry and Westminster. Additionally Troopers responded to several tractor trailer trucks that were stuck on hills both on I-91 in Springfield and Route 11 in Londonderry. There were no serious injuries as a result of the snowstorm.

Westminster

-- On Dec. 26, at approximately 11 a.m., the Vermont State Police responded to the intersection of Route 5 and Route 123 for the report of a two-vehicle accident. Following an investigation, troopers determined Marat Alimzhanov, 42, of Wellesley, Mass., was traveling south on Route 5 when he attempted to turn left onto Route 123. Alimzhanov turned left in front of Mallary Kelton, 25, of Westminster, who was traveling north. Alimzhanov struck Kelton’s vehicle in a front end collision. Both vehicles sustained moderate front end damage. Kelton was extricated from her vehicle by the Westminster Fire Dept. and transported to the Springfield Hospital to be evaluated for injuries. There were no other injuries reported. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and both vehicles were towed away. Alimzhanov was issued a ticket for turning left while unsafe to do so.
