Bellows Falls

-- On Jan. 8, at approximately 5 p.m., the Bellows Falls Police Department responded to a residence on Underhill Avenue for the report of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance. As a result, James Roland, Jr., was arrested and cited with domestic assault and two counts of cruelty to a child. He was ordered to appear in court at a later date.

Brattleboro

-- On Jan. 6, at approximately 12:40 p.m., the Vermont State Police responded to Interstate 91 for the report of a single-vehicle crash. Troopers determined Jennifer C. Johnston, 23, of Westport, Conn., was traveling north in the passing lane attempting to negotiate a curve at speeds above the posted limit of 65 mph, when she lost control of the vehicle in the loose slush and snow material along the shoulder. Her vehicle left the roadway, traveled into the median where it rolled over three times before coming to rest partially in the southbound passing lane. Johnston was found to be traveling at 70 to 75 mph. She was found at fault for the crash and failing to maintain travel lane and operation at speeds unsafe for the existing road conditions. Her two passengers were uninjured.

-- On Jan. 8, the Brattleboro Police Department arrested Gregory S. Ahonen, 45, of Brattleboro, and cited him with domestic assault. He was ordered to appear in court at a later date.

-- On Jan. 9, the Brattleboro Police Department cited Gary Ewens, no age or place of residence given, with unlawful trespass. He was ordered to appear in court at a later date.

-- On Jan. 9, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a report of a verbal domestic dispute. As a result, Alan Scocca, 60, of Brattleboro, was arrested and cited with domestic assault. He was ordered to appear in court at a later date.

Dummerston

-- On Jan. 6, at approximately 11:30 a.m., the Vermont State Police responded to Interstate 91 for the report of a two-vehicle accident. Troopers determined Nadine Rowell, 22, of Saxtons River was traveling northbound and attempting to pass a tractor-trailer unit being driven by Amir Shetrit, 41, of Moncton, New Brunswick, in the left hand lane. The icy conditions caused Rowell to lose control and crash into Shetrit. Rowell's vehicle was totaled, while Shetrit's truck suffered minor front end damage. Rowell's vehicle was towed from the scene due to disabling damage. Rowell was issued a ticket for traveling too fast for conditions.

Guilford

-- On Jan. 7, at approximately 10:50 a.m., the Vermont State Police responded to Interstate 91 for the report of a two-vehicle crash. Troopers determined Mariella C. Roma, 24, of Foxborough, Mass., was traveling south approaching the area of mile marker 5 when she came upon stopped traffic in the roadway due to construction in the area. Roma briefly looked down and rear ended a vehicle being driven by Erika S. Young, 37, of Newport. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage. Roma was issued a ticket for following too close. The Guilford Fire Department responded to the scene to assist.

Rockingham

-- On Jan. 6, at approximately 2:15 p.m., the Vermont State Police responded to a residence on Colley Hollow Road for the report of an assault. As a result, Amber Dwinell, 26, of Brattleboro, was cited for simple assault and ordered to appear in court on Feb. 25.

Westminster

-- On Jan. 7, at approximately 4:25 p.m., the Vermont State Police stopped a vehicle on the Interstate 91 Access Road for failing to stop at a stop sign. As a result, Bruce Gauthier, 47, of Springfield, was cited for operating a vehicle without a valid license and without insurance. He was ordered to appear in court on Feb. 25.
