BRATTLEBORO -- It's that time of the year when bride shows around the country are beginning to pop up as weddings for the spring are planned.

In preparation, brides-to-be should consider stopping by the annual Windham County Wedding Fair.

"It's a venue for all wedding related entities, where brides, brides-to-be, their family and friends can come to a one-stop shopping and gathering," said Reformer Advertising Sales Manager Jordan Brechenser. "It's a good place to come gather information, ask questions and get different ideas about how to pull off a wedding."

On Jan. 26, the 2014 Wedding Fair will be held at the Quality Inn on Putney Road in Brattleboro from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is free to attend and women already have begun to register.

Resources for wedding services such as florists, gown and tuxedo rentals, limousine services, catering, photographers and D.J.'s will be available in one single venue.

Mid-way through the event, there will be a fashion show put on by Taylor for Flowers and Gowns. The runway test gives brides a chance to see the dress options on models.

The Wedding Fair is sponsored by the Brattleboro Reformer in partnership with Taylor for Flowers and Gowns, Vermont Artisan Designs and the Quality Inn.

The event has been put on for seven years in total. The last three were held at the Quality Inn, which will provide a grand prize for the fair's honeymoon giveaway. It will be drawn at the end of the event.

"The show has been very well attended the past several years since we had it at the inn," said Brechenser. "There is ample parking and food and bar is available. If you have guests coming from out of town for this, rooms are available."

In addition to thousands of dollars worth of prizes that will be given away throughout the fair, vendors will pass out samples. There will be demonstrations of various products and services.

Brides can register for the event and automatically be included in the honeymoon giveaway. They can RSVP by e-mailing

Booths for vendors are still available until Jan. 17. For questions or booking, contact Jordan Brechenser at 802-254-2311 ext. 200 or
