WILMINGTON -- Town Meeting is Tuesday, March 4.

The deadline for filing petitions with the Wilmington Town Clerk for articles to be included in the Town Meeting warning is 5 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 23. Petitions for articles must be signed by 5 percent of the registered voters, or 77 signatures.

Nominating petitions for town and school offices are now available at the Town Clerk's office and on the town website, www.wilmingtonvermont.us, and are due by 5 p.m., Monday, Jan. 27. They must be signed by 1 percent of the registered voters, or 15 signatures.

The deadline to register to vote in time for the March 4. For information about voter registration, vacant offices or how to petition call 802-464-5836 or stop in the Town Clerk's office during regular hours.

Town offices to be filled this year include: Town Moderator for one year; Town Treasurer for one year; Two Selectboard members for two and three years; Lister for three years and one year (two); First Constable for one year and Second Constable for one year; Grand Juror for one year; Town Agency for one year; Cemetery Commissioner for five years; two Library Trustees for five years; Trustee of the CC Haynes Fund for one year; School Moderator for one year; and School Directors for three years and two years.

2014 Transfer Station permits are now for sale in the Town Administration offices or at the Transfer Station. 2014 Liquor License Renewals will be mailed in the next two weeks. If your establishment does not receive one, please contact the Town Clerk's office. 2014 Dog Licenses and renewals are now available at the Town Clerk's office. A dog must have had a rabies inoculation not more than 36 months prior to the date of licensing for older dogs. Not more than 12 months for puppies.
