BRATTLEBORO -- Northbound I-91 traffic has been relocated onto the southbound bridge. Traffic will remain reduced to one lane in each direction on I-91 until completion of the new bridge in fall 2015. Weather permitting, night work will be conducted Sunday night, Jan. 26 through Friday, Jan. 31.

The speed limit on Route 30 near the work zone has been reduced to 40 mph. This reduction will remain in effect through fall 2015. Project-related truck activity on Route 30 will continue. Route 30 will be reduced to a single lane intermittently both day and night, with flaggers regulating traffic within the work zone.

No project impacts to Upper Dummerston Road are anticipated for the week of Jan. 26.

The West River Trail will be closed at The Marina Trailhead and through-access will not be permitted from the north, due to unsafe ground conditions. Signage at the Marina Trailhead and Rice Farm Road Trailhead will indicate current trail status. The trail is open from the northern trailhead to a point just north of the bridge construction area. The northern trailhead access location is on Rice Farm Road, about a mile south of the Iron Bridge.

Demolition activities over the West River will continue over the next several months on the existing northbound bridge. Workers will monitor the site and ensure that recreational traffic is kept away from overhead activities.
