-- On Jan. 16, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a call of a disturbance involving a man threatening another person with a knife. As a result, Thomas Williams, 20, of Brattleboro, was arrested and cited with disorderly conduct. He was ordered to appear in court at a later date.
-- On Jan. 22, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to Label Shopper on Putney Road for a report of three shoplifters in custody. All three were under the age of 18 and were cited to appear in court at a later date.
-- On Jan. 22, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to Rite Aid on Putney Road for a report of a shoplifting incident. As a result, Melanie Dumary, 37, of Brattleboro, was cited for retail theft and ordered to appear in court at a later date.
-- On Jan. 25, at approximately 11 a.m., the Vermont State Police responded to Route 11 for the report of a single-vehicle crash. Troopers determined Karen Sloan, 29, of Londonderry, lost control of her vehicle on the snowy road and hit the guard rail. She was uninjured but her vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
-- On Jan. 20, at approximately 8:40 p.m., the Vermont State Police conducted a motor-vehicle stop on I-91 north. A vehicle belonging to Joanne Delfino, 37, of Southington, Conn., who had recently relocated to Springfield, was seized and a search warrant was applied for and granted. On Jan. 25, troopers located a felony amount of heroin in the vehicle. An arrest warrant for Delfino will be filed in Windham County Superior Court for a possession of heroin.
-- On Jan. 25, at approximately, 4:20 p.m., the Vermont State Police responded to the Exit 7 off ramp of I-91 for the report of a single-vehicle crash. Troopers determined that Elizabeth Abbott, 31, of Vernon, was unable to make the bend and left the roadway. Abbott and her young son were uninjured in the crash. Abbott was taken into custody for having a criminally suspended license. She was cited, released and ordered to appear in court on March 11.
-- On Jan. 11, the Windham County Sheriff's Department observed a vehicle traveling at 92 mph on Route 30 in the area of the Dam Diner. As a result, Steven Holway, 19, of West Townshend, was arrested and cited with negligent operation. He was ordered to appear in court on Feb. 18.
-- On Jan. 20, the Windham County Sheriff's Department began an investigation into the theft of catalytic converters from Durand Toyota/Ford on Route 5 . The converters are believed to have gone missing at some point between Jan. 11 and Jan. 20. Anyone with information regarding the converters is asked to contact Deputy Ian Tuttle at 802-365-4942.
-- On Jan. 26, at approximately 8 a.m., the Vermont State Police responded to Windham Hill Road for the report of a single-vehicle crash. Troopers determined Emlyn Hughes, 53, of New York City, slid off the snowy road. There was no damage and the vehicle was towed back onto the roadway.
