-- Leo Verge Jr., 31, of Springfield, was arrested Feb. 9 for allegedly providing false information to a police officer. He was cited to appear in court March 18 to answer the charge.
-- Police say Kathleen T. Hawes, 58, of Brattleboro, was arrested on Feb. 6 on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of driving under the influence, second offense.
-- On Feb. 6, the Brattleboro Police Department investigated a theft that occurred at the Canal Street Price Chopper on Feb. 4. As a result, Amanda Thayer, 31, of Brattleboro, was cited for retail theft and criminal contempt and ordered to appear in court at a later date.
-- On Feb. 5, the Windham County Sheriff's Department arrested Sean M. Brosnan, 27, of Londonderry, at Vermont Superior Court for violating the conditions of his release. He was ordered to appear in court on Feb. 18.
-- An Easthampton, Mass., man was jailed for allegedly driving under the influence after Vermont State Police on Feb. 8 responded to a report of a vehicle off the road on Route 9.
Investigation showed that, minutes earlier, the operator of the vehicle -- 31-year-old Travis Keith -- had been reported by a Brattleboro convenience-store clerk to be a possibly intoxicated driver.
Police said Keith was determined to be "substantially impaired" at the accident scene and was transported to Southern State Correctional Facility in Springfield after failing to make bail.
Brattleboro police assisted in the case.
-- On Feb. 5, the Vermont State Police responded to investigate a burglary at a residence on Pike Falls Road. Investigation revealed that the burglary occurred sometime between the afternoon hours of Jan. 30 and the early morning hours of Feb. 5. It was determined that the unknown perpetrators forcefully gained entry through the front door of the residence.

-- On Feb. 8, during an ongoing investigation into thefts from the Kerri Ann Lane development, the Vermont State Police received additional information on other thefts in the area. Anyone with information about these thefts or who observes suspicious activity should contact the State Police at 802-254-2382.
-- On Feb. 9, at approximately 3:40 p.m., the Vermont State Police responded to a residence on Westminster Heights Road for a report that a HCRS worker was being held against her will. Prior to the arrival of law enforcement, the worker was released uninjured. As a result, Deserae Allen, 21, of Westminster, was arrested and cited with domestic assault, assault on a police officer, unlawful restraint and unlawful mischief. She was ordered to appear in court on Feb. 10.
