Brattleboro

-- On April 10, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to the Label Shopper on Putney Road for the report of an incident of shoplifting. As a result, June Bostwick, 51, of Brattleboro, was arrested and cited with retail theft. She was ordered to appear in court at a later date.

-- On April 10, the Windham County Sheriff's Department arrested a juvenile at Brattleboro Union High School and cited the student with possession of marijuana. The juvenile was ordered to appear in family court at a later date.

-- On April 10, the Brattleboro Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on Putney Road. As a result, Dylan F. Tkatch, 22, of Westmoreland, N.H., was arrested and cited with driving under the influence. He was ordered to appear in court at a later date.

-- On April 16, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to the Brattleboro Transportation Center for the report of an assault. As a result, Matthew Whitcomb, 51, of Brattleboro, was cited with simple assault and ordered to appear in court at a later date.

-- On April 16, the Brattleboro Police Department arrested Arthur Fisk, 23, of Brattleboro, at the Brattleboro Transportation Center and cited him with unlawful trespass. He was ordered to appear in court at a later date.

-- On April 17, the Windham County Sheriff's Department arrested Janet Bates, 54, of Brattleboro on a warrant for failure to appear in court. She was taken into custody and later appeared in court, after which she was taken to Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 bail.

-- On April 17, the Windham County Sheriff's Department arrested Christie Wojchick, 29, of West Chesterfield, N.H., on a warrant. She was taken into custody and later appeared in court.

-- On April 18, the Brattleboro Police Department arrested Ronald McKay (no age or place of residence given) and cited him with domestic assault. He was ordered to appear in court at a later date.

Putney

-- On April 17, the Windham County Sheriff's Department conducted a motor vehicle stop for speeding on Main Street. As a result, Emily Gonzales, 22, of Berkeley Heights, N.J., was found to be under the influence of alcohol and had allowed two underage friends to consume alcohol in her vehicle while driving on the roadway. The two underage drinkers were issued diversion paperwork and released to a sober adult. Gonzales was cited with driving under the influence and enabling the consumption of alcohol by minors and ordered to appear in court on May 6.

-- On April 17, at approximately 2:30 p.m., the Vermont State Police responded to Kimball Hill Road for the report of a vehicle/pedestrian accident. Troopers determined Eric A. Ladd, 63, of Putney, had fallen and struck his head upon a driveway. Witnesses then informed State Police that Brian M. Simonds, 28, of Brattleboro, was pulling out of his driveway in reverse and had inadvertently struck Ladd, who was still lying on the driveway. Ladd was brought to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital where he is being treated for minor injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
