-- On May 5, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to Brattleboro Ford on Putney Road for the report of a fight. When police arrived, one party had left the scene, but following an investigation,m Christopher Ducharme, no age or place of residence given, was arrested and cited with two counts of disorderly conduct. He was ordered to appear in court at a later date.
-- On May 11, the Brattleboro Police Department found Leonard Viola, 47, of Brattleboro, on the property of Price Chopper on Canal Street, where he had been issued a no-trespass order. As a result, Viola was issued a citation for unlawful trespass and ordered to appear in court at a later date. On May 13, the Windham County Sheriff’s Department arrested Viola on a warrant for failure to appear in court.
-- On May 13, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence on Canal Street for the report of a family fight. As a result, Jonathan A. Pinger, 26, of Brattleboro, was arrested and cited with domestic assault. He was ordered to appear in court at a later date.
-- On May 14, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to the Brattleboro Transportation Center and arrested Corey Russell, 27, of Brattleboro, and cited him with criminal contempt for violating the conditions of his release. He will appear in court at a later date.
-- The Vermont State Police is searching for Laura Hawksley, 56, of Stratton, who was reported missing by her family at 10 a.m. on May 13. She is believed to be operating a 2007 Red Ford Fusion bearing registration GCF978. No foul play is suspected, but her family is concerned for her well-being. Those who might have information on Hawksley’s whereabouts are urged to contact Detective Sergeant Richard Holden at 802-875-2112.
-- On May 14, at approximately 11:40 p.m., the Vermont State Police responded to Interstate 91 for the report of a single-vehicle accident. Troopers determined Ursula M Posl, 54, of Conway, Mass., was traveling southbound when a deer entered the roadway in front of her car and she was unable to avoid it. No injuries were sustained in this crash. Posl’s vehicle was removed by Marlboro Collision of Marlboro.
