Brattleboro

-- On June 1, the Brattleboro Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop for an equipment violation. As a result, Jesse McMahon, 33, of Dummerston, was arrested and cited with driving with a criminally suspended license. McMahon was ordered to appear in court at a later date.

-- On June 3, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to Williams Street for the report of a trespasser. As a result, Leonard Viola, 46, of Brattleboro, was arrested for violating the conditions of his release and disorderly conduct. He was ordered to appear in court at a later date.

-- On June 3, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to Green Street for a report of a possible assault and drug dealing. As a result, Stephanie Barber, 31, of Brattleboro, was arrested and cited with domestic assault and possession of heroin. She was ordered to appear in court at a later date.

-- On June 4, at approximately 1:10 a.m., the Vermont State Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on South Main Street. As a result, Benjamin John Walker, 24, of Brattleboro, was arrested for driving under the influence, cited and ordered to appear in court on June 24.

-- On June 4, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to the Panda North on Putney Road. Following an investigation, Byrne P. Bernard, 63, of Brattleboro, was arrested and cited with disorderly conduct. He was ordered to appear in court at a later date.

-- On June 5, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence on South Main Street for the report of an assault. As a result, Kelly J. Hall, 40, of Brattleboro, was arrested for domestic assault and ordered to appear in court at a later date.

Dorset

-- On June 4, at approximately 9 a.m., the Vermont State Police responded to Route 30 for the report of a three-vehicle crash. Troopers determined Christina Cole, 25, of Granville, N.Y., was traveling south when she rear-ended a vehicle that was stopped on the road. According to a press release, several cars were stopped to wait for another making a left-hand turn. The two cars in front of Cole's were able to stop, but she was unable to do so, crashing into one car and forcing that car into another. Inattention and following too closely were the contributing causes of the crash. Cole was ticketed. All operators were wearing their seatbelts and there were no injuries reported from this crash.

Dummerston

-- On June 4, at approximately 4:10 p.m., the Vermont State Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Interstate 91 for excessive speed when it was clocked doing 96 mph in a 65 mph zone. As a result, Corey L. Longfellow, 24, of Stowe, was arrested and cited with excessive speed and careless and negligent operation. He was ordered to appear in court on July 22.

Jamaica

-- On June 2, sometime between 5 and 7 p.m., a person or persons stole an "Emergency Ahead" sign that had been deployed on Route 30 by the Jamaica Fire Department while it responded to a single vehicle crash.
