Bellows Falls

-- On June 27, at approximately 1 a.m., Vermont State Police responded to 65 Rockingham Road in Bellows Falls to assist Bellows Falls Police Department with an assault that took place in front of Donovan's. Through the course of the investigation and the statements given by numerous witnesses, Denise Carrara, 44, of Bellows Falls was arrested for two counts of simple assault and disorderly conduct. According to police, Carrara resisted arrest with Troopers at the scene as well as during processing at the Rockingham State Police Barracks. She was issued a citation to appear in court on Aug. 19 for two counts of simple assault, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Carrara was held at Southern State Correctional Facility until sober.

Brattleboro

-- On May 8, the Brattleboro Police Department began a fraud investigation involving chimney work. As a result, Joseph M. Coffey, 31, of Merrimack, N.H., was cited with home improvement fraud and ordered to appear in court on Aug. 5.

-- On June 5, the Brattleboro Police Department received a report of a theft of a gaming console and television. Following an investigation, on June 22, Daniel Silverman, 42, of Brattleboro, was cited with receiving, possessing and selling stolen property. He was ordered to appear in court at a later date.

-- On June 25, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to the emergency room of Brattleboro Memorial Hospital to meet with a victim of an alleged assault.

As a result, Andrew J.W. Barcomb, 22, of Vernon, was arrested and cited with first degree aggravated domestic assault and ordered to appear in court at a later date.

-- On June 26, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to the Latchis Building on Main Street for a reported break-in. According to police, the suspect left his backpack behind and when he returned for it, he was arrested. Noah Sherman, 38, of Brattleboro, was cited with burglary and ordered to appear in court at a later date.

-- On June 27, the Brattleboro Police Department arrested Anthony Wilson, 37, of Brattleboro, on an active arrest warrant. He was ordered to appear in court at a later date.

-- On June 30, the Brattleboro Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on Vernon Road. As a result, Melanie Hudson, 34, of Brattleboro, was cited with operating a vehicle with a criminally suspended license. She was ordered to appear in court at a later date.

Dummerston

-- On June 29, at approximately 7:20 p.m., the Vermont State Police responded to Route 5 in the vicinity of Canoe Brook Road for the report of a two-vehicle crash. Troopers determined Bill Reynolds, 61, of Dummerston, was attempting to make a left-hand turn into his driveway from Route 5 when a Saturn sedan, driven by Rodney S. Martin Jr., 52. of Lebanon, N.H., attempted to pass him on the driver's side. A crash resulted. Martin was subsequently put through field sobriety exercises, which he failed, and was arrested for driving under the influence. Martin was ordered to appear in court on July 15.

Guilford

-- On June 30, at approximately 9 a.m., the Vermont State Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 5. As a result, Xavier Carter, 21, of Brattleboro, was taken into custody and cited with driving with a criminally suspended license. He was ordered to appear in court on July 29.

Marlboro

-- On June 24, at approximately 5:45 p.m., a trooper with the Vermont State Police observed Kevin Collins, 51, of Marlboro, operating a vehicle on Route 9 in Marlboro. The Trooper knew Collins to have a criminally suspended Vermont operator's license. The Trooper made contact with Collins and he was taken into custody for the offense. Collins was processed at the State Police barracks in Brattleboro. He was issued a citation to appear in court at a later date.

-- On June 25, at approximately 5:25 p.m., the Vermont State Police responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash on Higley Hill Road at Upper Dover Road. Troopers determined a blue 2007 Volkswagen Passat was traveling eastbound on Higley Hill Road when it crossed the double solid center line and stuck a green 2004 Buick Century that was headed westbound. Both the Volkswagen and the Buick sustained major front end damage and are considered a total loss. Airbags in both of vehicles deployed on impact.

The operator of Buick was identified as Rebecca Fournier, 27 of Dover, who told troopers that the operator of the Volkswagen fled the scene after telling her to not report his presence to the police. Fournier was transported by ambulance to the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment. Two passengers in Fournier's vehicle were also transported by ambulance to the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment.

Norwich

-- On June 29, at approximately 6:20 p.m., the Vermont State Police conducted a motor vehicle stop for speeding on Interstate 91. As a result, Terri Maskell, 42, of Brattleboro, was arrested for driving on a criminally suspended license. She was processed at the Bradford Barracks and released on a citation to appear in Windsor County Court on June 29. She was also issued traffic tickets for speeding and traveling in the passing lane.

Pownal

-- On June 29, at approximately 8:40 p.m., the Vermont State Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 7. As a result, Mariusz Curylo, 45, of West Dover, was arrested and cited with driving under the influence. He was ordered to appear in court on July 14.

Vernon

-- On June 27, the Windham County Sheriff's Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on Stebbins Road. As a result, Nathan T. Barcomb, 20, of South Newfane, was arrested and cited with driving under the influence. He was ordered to appear in court on July 15.

-- On June 30, at approximately 3 p.m., the Vermont State Police responded to the report of a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 91. Troopers determined Marie Demarey, 51, of Southhampton, Mass., was traveling south when a deer entered the travel lanes. Damarey was unable to avoid the deer and struck the deer. The vehicle that Demarey was driving sustained moderate front end damage and was towed from the scene. There were no injuries. All occupants in the vehicle were wearing seat belts.

-- The Windham County Sheriff's Office is in process of taking possession of evidence and lost/stolen property from the Vernon Police Department. Any property that has been cleared for release is available for pickup at the Vernon Division of the Sheriff's Office at 567 Governor Hunt Road.
