BRATTLEBORO >> Voting for this year's presidential primary and local elections will be held at Brattleboro Municipal Center, 230 Main Street on Tuesday, March 1. Polling hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Brattleboro Town Clerk's office will be closed that day for elections.
Handicapped parking and building access is located in the back of the Town Offices. Those people needing special accommodations will find an elevator located to the left of the entry door.
The town will be providing help for those in need of special accommodations. A wheelchair will be available as one exits the elevator for those who may find it difficult to walk the length of the building to gain access to the voting polls. Those with visual impairments, reading difficulties or other special needs can receive help at the polls as well. In addition, Brattleboro Town Clerk Annette L. Cappy said assistants will be on hand to go to a person's parked vehicle to administer an oath and help with the completion of the ballot, if need be. "Brattleboro is working hard to make the voting process as accessible and easy as possible." Cappy said while meeting with representatives of the Brattleboro Inclusion Center and the Town's ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) Advisory Committee.

The hours are 12:30 to 4:00 p.m. "We are a no-fee activity and drop-in center, staffed entirely by volunteers, open to all people with disabilities or medical conditions and interested community members. All are welcome." according to Julie Tamler, spokesperson for the Center. For information call 802-387-5285.
