• At approximately 4 p.m. a concerned citizen called to report a vehicle crashing into a pole on River Road South in Putney. The concerned citizen stated he observed the vehicle to be operating erratically prior to the crash. Upon Troopers' arrival, the vehicle and operator involved in the crash had left the scene. Troopers located the vehicle involved in the crash – a green, 2002 GMC pickup – at a nearby residence. The operator of the vehicle at the time of the crash was identified as Daken T. Hollis, 64, of Putney. Troopers observed signs of impairment as they spoke with Hollis. Hollis was subsequently arrested for DUI and leaving the scene of an accident. Anyone who witnessed the crash or has information in regards to this incident is encouraged to contact the Vermont State Police at 802-254-2382.

• At approximately 5:24 p.m., the Vermont State Police received a complaint of a stolen chainsaw from a residence on Old County Road in Halifax. According to police, sometime between noon on March 13 and 4:50 p.m. on March 26, unknown subject(s) entered a shed on Old County Road and stole a Husqvarna 346PX chainsaw. Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact Trooper Valcourt of the Vermont State Police – Brattleboro barracks at 802-254-2382 or call the State Police Crime Information Tip Line at 802-241-5355. • The Brattleboro Police Department arrested Janna Jarvis, 40, address not specified, for violating her court ordered conditions of release. Jarvis was released with a citation to court for a later date and time.
