• On May 5, the Brattleboro Police Department received a report of a possible abuse prevention order violation. An investigation concluded Eric Zobkiw, 45, Springfield, had attempted to contact a female party in violation of both his court ordered conditions of release as well as the terms of a relief from abuse order. As Zobkiw was already in custody related to a separate offense, he was issued a citation to appear in Windham County Superior Court at a later date.
• At 2:45 p.m., the Vermont State Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Interstate 91 in Brattleboro for a speeding violation in a work zone. As a result, Scott M. Roggensack, 30, formerly of East Barre, was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant. He was also cited with operating a vehicle with a criminally suspended license.
• The Brattleboro Police Department responded to Canal Street after receiving a report of a male subject who was being disorderly, throwing rocks and threatening violence towards others. The male, later identified to be Jacob Wrightington, 23, of Brattleboro, was located near the Brattleboro Food Co-Op. At that time, Wrightington attempted to elude officers. After a short foot pursuit, Wrightington was apprehended. No injuries were sustained due to this incident. Subsequent investigation led to Wrightington being cited with aggravated disorderly conduct, disorderly conduct, unlawful trespassing and resisting arrest.
• Sometime between 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., a pair of iPads, and iPhone and a Samsung laptop were stolen from a home on Upper Dummerston Road in Dummerston. Anyone with information regarding the incident should call the Vermont State Police at 802-254-2382.
