All Brown Bag Lunch Presentations take place from noon to 1 p.m. at the Robert H. Gibson River Garden, 157 Main St., Brattleboro, and are free and open to the public.

On Tuesday, July 5, join the staff from Brooks Memorial Library for an introductory session on eBay and Craigslist. Topics covered will include establishing a profile, listing items, and basic buyer/seller etiquette.
On Wednesday, July 6, the Southern Vermont Dance Festival (July 14-17) presents a preview of performances and guests you can see at this year's festival. Purchase a half price Full Immersion Pass at the preview. SVDF offers classes, workshops, performances and free community events throughout the four days.
On Thursday, July 7, Shela Linton of the Vermont Workers' Center will talk about the proposed health insurance rate increase being requested by Blue Cross Blue Shield and MVP. She will also explain the process for public input to the Green Mountain Care Board,
Vermont's Care Board, Vermont's health care regulatory body.
On Friday, July 8, Kathleen Kennedy is both a musician and massage therapist. She uses her art to share her personal wisdom using her voice and hands to create a presence for healing herself as well as others. At the River Garden, she will be performing her original songs on guitar that all touch on the share life experiences of love and grief.

During July, The Gallery at the River Garden will exhibit "Into Nature/ Contemporary Landscapes " by Janet Picard. Janet's paintings are colorful mural size oils on canvas depicting non-traditional landscapes and concentrated whimsical studies of flowers. Her style is expressionistic yet representational selecting segments of nature capturing a moment in time which creates an atmosphere and a mood. She is a member of Brattleboro-West- Artists. Her studio is in West Brattleboro and open to the public by appointment.
