• At 10:40 p.m., the New Hampshire State Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Depot Street in Hinsdale. As a result, Tyler Hamilton, 23, of Brattleboro, Vt., was cited with operating a vehicle with a revoked or suspended license.
• The Vermont State Police is investigating a theft of a log splitter from the side of the road on Horsenail Hill Road in Windham, which occurred between 6 and 8 a.m. On Sept. 11, at about 7:30 p.m., the log splitter fell off of a trailer during transport. Due to an inability to reload it into the trailer without more resources, it was left on the side of Horsenail Hill Road with intentions of picking it up the next day. Town of Windham Highway Department employees reported seeing the log splitter on the side of the road at about 6 a.m. Sept. 12, however when the owners came to retrieve it at 8 a.m., it was gone. The log splitter was described as being red and grey with two hydraulic levers and a four-way splitting wedge. Anyone with information related to this theft is asked to contact Cpl. • The Vermont State Police is investigating a burglary that occurred at the Exit 6 Sunoco in Rockingham at 4:30 a.m. Troopers determined a lone perpetrator stole numerous cartons of cigarettes, both Marlboro and Newport, and left the store in less than one minute. The suspect was wearing a zip up-type hooded windbreaker of a lighter primary color with a darker horizontal stripe across the chest and back. • At 7:30 p.m., the Vermont State Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Interstate 91 in Westminster for a vehicle traveling in excess of 110 mph. As a result, Roger L. Jacques, 66, of South Windsor, Conn., was arrested and cited with reckless endangerment and excessive speed.
