• At approximately 8;30 a.m., the Vermont State Police in Westminster responded to a motor vehicle crash on the East West Road in Dummerston. The vehicle involved was identified as a 2010 International Dump Truck. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Henry Mazelli, 49, of Dummerston. Mazelli was not injured during the crash. Mazelli was driving west on the East-West Road when the truck traveled off the shoulder of the westbound lane and struck a utility pole. The truck sustained minor damage. It appears the crash was caused by the operator, Mazelli experiencing a medical emergency prior to the crash.
• At 7:36 p.m., Vermont State Police stopped a vehicle traveling on Interstate 91 north bound near mile marker 34 in Rockingham for speeding. The operator, Charles D. Tooth 30, of Bristol, Conn., was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol. Tooth was administered the Standard Field Sobriety Exercises and subsequently arrested for DUI. A preliminary breath test registered a .12 Tooth was processed at the Vermont State Police barracks in Westminster. He was issued a citation to appear in Windham Superior Court Criminal Division on Oct. 4 to answer to the charge of DUI.
• At 10:52 a.m. Vermont State Police investigated a two-vehicle crash on East West Road at the junction of Route 5 in Dummerston. Katherine Tarr, 56, of San Clemente, Calif., was stopped in a 2016 Nissan Frontier at the East West Road stop sign. Susan Rankin, 56, of Hanover, Mass., was behind her in a 2013 Volvo sedan. Rankin thought Tarr had pulled onto Route 5 and she began to accelerate and rear-ended Tarr's vehicle. Both vehicles sustained body damage but nobody was injured. Rankin was issued a warning for following too close.
• Officers with the Brattleboro Police Department responded to Mountain Home Trailer Park for a report of a fight in progress. Officers were able to locate William Klare, 33, of Brattleboro, fleeing the scene. Klare and one other person were transported from the scene to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. Klare was cited with aggravated domestic assault,
