The baby had been taken to the hospital after Brattleboro police and firefighters were called to a residence at Moore Court at 1 p.m. for a report of an unresponsive infant.
The cause of the baby's death has not yet been determined. It was transported to the state's Office of the Chief Medical Examiner as part of the continuing investigation.
Food co-op broken into
BRATTLEBORO -- Brattleboro Police are asking people to view a video on its Web site at www.brattleboropolice.org/video.html to see if they can identify a man caught on tape breaking into the Brattleboro Food Co-Op on March 22.
The man can be seen in the video, wearing a black knitted cap, digging through drawers and bins behind the counter.
Police did not say whether the man made off with any money or merchandise.
Anyone who can recognize the man in the video or has other information is asked to contact Lt. Fitzgerald at 802-257-7950.
Man arrested for marijuana
ROCKINGHAM -- A Waterbury
Joshua Pellerin, 23, was allegedly carrying roughly 5.2 grams of marijuana when he was pulled over.
He was released with a citation to appear in Windham District Court June 24 to face charges.
Vernon man arrested for burglary
BRATTLEBORO -- A Vernon man was arrested on five counts of burglary last Friday.
Joshua Hartwell, 21, allegedly admitted to two of the burglaries of a local retailer in Brattleboro.
Hartwell was reportedly found hiding in a room at his home.
He was released with a citation to appear in Windham District Court June 10 to face charges.
Man arrested for larceny
BRATTLEBORO -- A Brattleboro man was cited to face charges of petty larceny Wednesday in connection with a report that a purse was stolen from a local restaurant Sunday night.
Tony Whitten, 29, will face charges at Windham District Court at a later date.
Woman charged with assault
BRATTLEBORO -- A Brattleboro woman was arrested Wednesday for domestic assault.
Barbara Forfa, 18, will face charges at Windham District Court at a later date.
Man turns himself in
BELLOWS FALLS -- A Springfield man turned himself in to the Bellows Falls Police Tuesday on an active arrest warrant.
Andrew Fagans, 26, was wanted by the Windsor District Court for larceny from a person. The warrant had been issued in January.
Fagans was transported to Southern State Correctional Facility for lack of $5,000 bail. He will face charges in Windsor at a later date.
