A WMUR Granite State Poll conducted by the University of new Hampshire Survey Center says 84 percent of residents surveyed won't go away on vacation. Nearly half of them aren't getting any vacation time.
Only 14 percent of residents surveyed plan to go out of town on vacation.
Just over half of New Hampshire households surveyed planned to put a real Christmas tree in their home this year, with 35 percent having an artificial tree. Ten percent will have no tree.
The phone poll of 554 randomly selected New Hampshire adults was conducted between Nov. 22 and Nov. 25 and margin of sampling error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
