STRATTON (AP) - An alumnus of a Vermont winter sports academy has won the bronze medal in the men's snowboardcross event at the Olympics.

Alex Deibold of Manchester, competed Tuesday. The event was postponed from Monday due to extreme fog.

Deibold is one of 12 alumni of the Stratton Mountain School competing in downhill, cross-country skiing and snowboarding at the Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
