WATERBURY (AP) - Congressman Peter Welch will be discussing the negotiations in Congress over reauthorization of the Highway Trust Fund, which is how states pay for most major road construction projects.

Welch will also release a list of critical Vermont transportation projects that could be delayed if Congress doesn't act.

The Vermont Transportation Agency is poised to delay 38 bridge, rail and road projects that were to be put out to big Aug. 1 because the federal money relied on for those projects might not be available.

Welch will be joined by Vermont transportation leaders at a press conference on Monday in Waterbury.
