SWANZEY, N.H. (AP) - The town of Swanzey, New Hampshire, is starting construction of a connector road to two major routes help develop a 350-acre Economic Revitalization Zone.
The town is holding a groundbreaking on the work Monday.
The 2,700-foot-long connector, which will cost $2.4 million, will provide east-west passage between Routes 12 and 32. It's scheduled to be completed in spring 2015. When done, it's expected to open up the Southwest Enterprise Zone for development.
Sara Carbonneau, the town's director of planning and community development, said the enterprise zone has always been part of the vision for its economic future.
