MONTPELIER (AP) -- Vermonters who want to advise Gov. Peter Shumlin’s administration as officials draft next year’s state budget have two chances to do so in the next two weeks.
The first session goes from 5:15 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Vermont Interactive Television studios in Bennington, Lyndonville, Newport, Rutland, St. Albans, White River Junction, Williston and Montpelier.
The second will go from 4:45 to 6:45 p.m. on Nov. 19 at VIT studios in Bennington, Brattleboro, Johnson, Lyndonville, Middlebury, Montpelier, Newport, Randolph Center, Rutland, Springfield, St. Albans, White River Junction and Williston.
Finance and Management Commissioner Jim Reardon says the administration wants public input on the state’s budget priorities as it prepares a spending plan to present to lawmakers in January.
