BRATTLEBORO -- More than two dozen vendors will offer their wares and services at this weekend's 2013 Windham County Wedding Fair.
The Reformer-organized event is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Quality Inn, 1380 Putney Road in Brattleboro.
And it's designed to simplify the sometimes hectic, stressful wedding-planning experience, said Jordan Brechenser, Reformer advertising manager.
"It's a great way for brides-to-be to have an all-in-one shopping experience," he said.
A bride can register for the fair by e-mailing her name, address and phone number to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Brechenser bills the event as Windham County's only wedding show, while noting that there are similar events in Keene, N.H., and Greenfield, Mass.
"We try to coordinate with other shows in the area to make sure there's no overlap for the weekend," he said.
Admission to the fair is free; however, donations will be accepted for Windham County Humane Society.
Brechenser said the gathering generally attracts a few hundred people.
"Last year, the weather was on our side," he said. "We're hoping that will be the case this year as well."
Prospective brides will be able to peruse wedding-related services including florists, jewelers, gowns, transportation, photographers, caterers and disc jockeys.
"We have 25 vendors signed up now," Brechenser said. "We'll add a few more between now and the fair."
There will be a fashion show put on by The Bridal Boutique at Taylor for Flowers and Gowns and by Vermont Artisan Designs.
Also, the Quality Inn is offering a "complete wedding package" as a grand prize giveaway. It is valued at $1,100, and contestants must be present to win that and other door prizes, Brechenser said.
