BIRTHDAY LUNCH: The Brattleboro Senior Center and the Brattleboro Senior Meals Program are hosting the February Birthday Luncheon Celebration on Thursday, Feb. 14, at 11:30 a.m. at the Gibson-Aiken Center, 207 Main St.
The menu includes appetizers, punch, herbed roast beef, baked potato, cauliflower and snow peas and Valentine cake and ice cream.
Those with birthdays in the month of February are invited to celebrate the occasion by sitting at the birthday table and waiving their donation for the day. They may invite one guest to sit with them; however that guest is encouraged to make the regular donation. The suggested donation for seniors 60 years of age and over is $4 and $6 for all others. Entertainment will be provided.

COIN CLUB ENDS: The Tri-State Coin & Currency Club which normally meets the third Thursday of each month at the Brattleboro Savings & Loan has been canceled for the month of February and will be canceled indefinitely.

The supportive program is designed for people who want to improve their public speaking and leadership skills. Members meet twice monthly to learn and practice these techniques. Guests may attend for free.

SENIOR LUNCH: The Guilford Golden Agers Senior lunch, sponsored by Senior Solutions, will take place on Friday, Feb. 15, at noon at the Guilford Community Church. The menu includes meatloaf, mashed sweet potatoes, applesauce and corn bread, with cake for dessert. Books will be available on loan from the Guilford Free Library. SENIOR MEAL: The Halifax Senior Meal will be held on Friday, Feb. 15, at the Community Hall at the intersection of Branch and Brook roads in West Halifax. All seniors are welcome.

SENIOR DINNER: There will be dinner for seniors in Newfane and surrounding communities on Thursday, Feb. 14, at noon at the Newfane Congregational Church. On the menu will be antipasto, green salad, lasagna with spinach and meatballs, garlic bread, and cream cake for dessert.
The meal will be prepared by Winnie Dolan, hosted by Barbara Brooks and served by volunteers from the church and community. The meal is sponsored by Senior Solutions. ASSOCIATION MEETING: The West Brattleboro Association will meet Thursday, Feb. 14, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. in the community room at Hayes Court on Garfield Drive (the first road on the right after the West Brattleboro Post Office and Richards Building).
The agenda will cover updates on traffic safety along Western Avenue, the Town Plan as it affects West Brattleboro, and information about the Stockwell Trail. The new 2013 work plan will be reviewed.
The Association will discuss its signage initiatives and plans for a possible Third Annual West B Village Day. The WBA’s participation in the Town’s fire station upgrade project and the Housing Authority’s housing upgrade efforts will also be addressed. In addition, the group will discuss the arts, including either working with the Academy School or with the Town on the National Endowment for the Arts grant.
