BRATTLEBORO -- The New England Youth Theatre Alumni Association presents its fourth annual Shakespeare Unrehearsed fundraiser for NEYT’s "Angels in the Wings" scholarship fund. This year’s play will be Shakespeare’s pastoral comedy "As You Like It" and will be presented on Saturday, Jan. 4, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Jan. 5, at 2 p.m.

NEYT Alumni actors old and new return to the Brattleboro stage to explore the world of Shakespeare’s rich wordplay, imagery and wit. Inspired by the Elizabethan-era process of theatrical production, the alumni will perform the show with no more than 10 hours of rehearsal. With such little time, actors must dive in headfirst, creating energetic, mad-cap and surprising performance.

The play tells the story of Rosalind, a young beauty who flees from her treacherous uncle’s court with the help of her cousin Celia and their faithful jester. As they journey through the tranquil Forest of Arden, the trio stumble across strange philosophies, hidden strengths, and love.

Tickets are only available at the door for a suggested donation of $10 -- payment by cash or check only. All proceeds will be donated to NEYT’s "Angels in the Wings" scholarship fund.
