BRATTLEBORO -- Strolling of the Heifers announces the schedule for its Brown Bag Lunch at the River Garden series for the week of Feb. 3-7. All Brown Bag Lunch events take place from noon to 1 p.m. at the Robert H Gibson River Garden, 157 Main St., and are free.
On Monday, Feb. 3, singer-songwriter Jennie Reichman performs intimate, incisive songs that draw inspiration from life’s challenges and small triumphs.
On Tuesday, Feb. 4, the "Meet Your Columnist" series continues with Richard Davis, who has been involved in health care reform activities in Vermont for the past 25 years. He has been a registered nurse in Vermont for the past 37 years. Davis has been writing a weekly column on health care related issues in the Brattleboro Reformer since 1994.
On Wednesday, Feb. 5, the Bondville Boys play original tunes and traditional bluegrass.
On Thursday, Feb. 6, "Meet your Columnist" features Diana Whitney, a writer, yoga instructor and mother of two in Brattleboro. For four years her irreverent, advice-free parenting column, "Spilt Milk," ran bi-weekly in the Brattleboro Reformer and The Rutland Herald, and also appeared on VPR. She’s now hard at work on a Spilt Milk book.
On Friday, Feb. 7, Tamara Stenn presents part one of a series which participants are invited to imagine and explore another way of being based on the Andean principle of Suma Qamaña which in Aymara means "well-living."
