WILMINGTON - Bartleby's Books will host three poetry reading by three poets on Wednesday, Aug. 6 at 7 p.m. Robin Becker, Lee Bramble and Arlene Distler will each read from their most recent poetry collections, answer questions from the audience and sign their books.
Robin Becker's poems reflect her Russian-Jewish heritage and lesbianism, her interest in art history and art, the experience of growing up in 1950s America, and the legacy of the 1960s.
Lee Bramble is the pen name of Tom Ragle, a professor of English literature with a bias toward the classical English poetic tradition. He recently retired from the board of Write Action in Brattleboro, where he served as Vice President and took primary responsibility for organizing the annual prose and poetry contests.
Arlene Distler was born and raised in New York. She earned her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. Arlene started writing poetry seriously in the ‘80s, giving readings in the Brattleboro area throughout the ‘80s and ‘90s. Voices Like Wind Chimes is her latest chap book.
