BRATTLEBORO -- Representatives from Rescue Inc. will be at several locations over the weekend, selling tickets for the annual fundraising raffle, with the grand prize a 2012 5-door Impreza from Brattleboro Subaru, or, if you prefer, $15,000 cash.
On Saturday morning they will be at the Townshend Auction Gallery, 8:30 to 10 a.m.
On Saturday evening from 5 to 6:30 p.m., they will be at the strawberry festival in Dummerston Center.
And on Sunday morning they will be at the NewBrook Fire Department starting at 10 a.m.
Raffle tickets are $50 each or three for $100. No more than 1,500 tickets will be sold. The drawing will be on July 4, just before the Brattleboro Fireworks at Living Memorial Park. Take the car or take $15,000 cash.
Until July 3, tickets can be purchased online at www.rescueinc.org or by phone at 802-257-7679, or in person at Rescue Headquarters during business hours at 541 Canal St. Retail locations include: Evan James Ltd., Brattleboro Savings & Loan, Members First Credit Union, Brattleboro Subaru, Newfane Market, Vermont Artisan Designs, Fantasy Fireworks and Sam’s.
On July 4, tickets can be purchased with cash at Rescue’s headquarters.
At the same time that Rescue board members and volunteers have been selling raffle tickets, the organization is also in the midst of its subscription campaign, by which residents may sign up at a flat annual
The subscription fee is $50 for people who have medical insurance, including Medicare, and $100 if any household member who does not have insurance. The subscription covers three medically necessary local emergency calls and three physician-approved, medically necessary, local non-emergency transfers over the course of a 12-month period.
For those with insurance, the subscription pays any balances that the insurance does not pay. For those without insurance, the subscription pays the entire balance.
