KEENE, N.H. -- Artists Kristina Wentzell, Caryn King, Luann Udell and more will be featured at Art Under the Birches, a fine art show in the garden at 87 Ashuelot St., on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
People are invited to browse paintings, metal sculpture, jewelry and funky upcycled garden art and tour the grounds and get an inside peek into the private garden of Keene artist Kristina Wentzell, a little oasis in the city. Pop in any time, sip a glass of wine or lemonade while enjoying the flowers, plants, a few backyard chickens and of course, art.
Both Massachusetts College of Art graduates, Wentzell and Newfane artist Caryn King connected years after school at Keene’s Art in the Park. Both find their inspiration in the natural world but with decidedly different takes. King’s paintings are expertly and sensitively rendered animal portraits. Wentzell’s paintings are a joyful riot of color. Udell creates modern artifacts:. For more information, call 802-380-7006
