It is a groundbreaking and unique reflection on the life of Jesus, with a message of kindness, tolerance and love. "Godspell" boasts a string of well-loved songs, led by "Day By Day," "Prepare Ye The Way Of The Lord," "Learn Your Lessons Well," "All For The Best," "All Good Gifts," "Turn Back, O Man" and "By My Side," as the parables of Jesus Christ come humanly and hearteningly to life.
It is a show full of color, sight gags, magic and beautiful and moving theatrical music. NEYT adds a layers of clowning, acrobatics, and wonder to this time-honored gem as Stephen Stearns directs the senior company, accompanied by a live rock ‘n’ roll pit band.
